When I first came up with the concept for The Manor Candle Shop, I quickly realized that it would be a perfect fit for Renaissance festivals.

Since starting a new business can be a bit overwhelming in itself, I was originally planning on waiting until next year before I started applying to become a festival vendor.

However, when I heard that the Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire in Tavares had been cancelled this year due to the land they leased being developed, and that there was going to be a smaller indoor event in its place, my interest was immediately piqued.

The Autumn Gathre: An Indoor Renaissance Fair Experience will essentially be an indoor, air-conditioned, Renaissance Festival-themed craft fair, which honestly feels like it was tailor-made to be my first-ever event.

And the best part… I was just accepted as a vendor!

I’m beyond excited for this one. All the food, fun, entertainment, costumes, and atmosphere of a Renaissance festival, but in an indoor setting. And considering my entire candle lineup is built around places like the Manor House, Blacksmith’s Forge, Ale House, Manor Stables, Bath House, Village Bakery, Wine Cellar, and the rest of our little medieval world, I can’t think of a better place to start.

I’ll also be bringing my two new Christmas candles, so this will be the first chance to smell those in person too!
